The forward cover of the engine is made of an aluminum alloy and is incorporated with an arm of No. of 3 fastenings of the engine that reduces weight and noise level. An opening for an adjusting bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft, a technological opening for an unblocking of a ratchet of a regulator of a tension of a chain and a technological opening for fixing of the lever of a natyazhitel when weakening a chain of a drive of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye, are on a forward cover of the engine. On L3 engine models the oil pipeline and the integrated oil filter are on a forward cover (fig. 2.15).
