1.4.4.2. Check of level of cooling liquid

Check temperature of the beginning of freezing of cooling liquid in system of cooling of the engine at least once a year – before the beginning of a winter season, and also before a trip to places where the temperature of air can be negative.

Check a condition and tightness of all connections of hoses of system of cooling of the engine and a heater. Replace all deformed or damaged hoses.

On the cold engine level of cooling liquid should correspond to the basis of a jellied mouth of a radiator and be between top («FULL») and bottom («LOW») labels on a wall of a broad tank (fig. 1.180).

If level of cooling liquid fell to the bottom label («LOW»), add cooling liquid in a broad tank and finish its level to the top label («FULL»). To prevent freezing of cooling liquid and to provide anticorrosive protection of the engine, use for долива only cooling liquid of the recommended brand and demanded concentration.

NOTE If on a cover of a radiator or a broad tank or about them there is «FL22» marking, it is necessary to add only cooling liquid of the FL22 brand.
