1.4.4.11. Check of level of electrolit

At low level of electrolit the capacity of the storage battery decreases and it is quickly discharged.

Check electrolit level in the storage battery at least once a week. If electrolit level in the battery low, remove covers of accumulators and add necessary amount of the distilled water. Level of electrolit should settle down between the bottom and top labels on a case wall (fig. 1.189).

Do not pour the distilled water above the top label.

Check electrolit density in the storage battery by means of a hydrometer. Maintenance of the demanded density of electrolit especially important in a cold season. If electrolit density low, charge the storage battery.
