1.1.11.2. Check of operation of the parking brake

Tighten the lever of the parking brake with effort. Be convinced that the length of a course of the lever makes set number of clicks (check ratchet clicks aurally).

Length of a course of the lever: 7–8 clicks.

Check, whether there is no curvature, damage or cracks on the lever of the parking brake in collecting and if necessary replace.

Check, whether there is no wear and damage on cables and the equalizer. In case of failure detection replace the corresponding component.

Check the switch of an alarm lamp of the parking brake. In case of failure detection replace the corresponding component.

Check, whether components are deformed, adjoining to other parts. In case of failure detection replace the corresponding component.
