7.8.2. Module of a lateral safety cushion

At lateral collision the inflatable safety cushion works (is developed) after receiving an operating signal from the SAS block and distributes blow on area of a breast of the driver and the forward passenger.

Modules of lateral safety cushions are established on lateral outer sides of backs of forward seats.

The module of a lateral safety cushion (fig. 7.101) consists of the supercharger, a cover of the module and an inflatable pillow of safety.

When the inflatable safety cushion works (is developed), a cover of the module of a lateral safety cushion отделяетя under the influence of pressure of the argon generated by the supercharger at filling of a safety cushion.
