7.2.2.3. Current check on generator conclusions

Be convinced that the storage battery is completely charged.
Be convinced that the deflection and a tension of a belt of the generator correspond to nominal rates.
Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
Establish the ampermeter between a conclusion In and the plug.
Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery.
Switch off everything consumers of the electric power.
Start the engine and establish frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft - 2000–2500 mines-1.
Measure a current on a generator exit. Measurements are made on the "hot" engine at air temperature of 20 °C and tension on conclusions of 13,5 Century.
Current:
- at 1000 mines-1 – 0–75 And;
- at 2000 mines-1 – 0–98 And.
Include the following consumers of the electric power one by one:
– headlights;
– electric motor of the fan of a heater;
– heater of back glass.
Be convinced that the current on a conclusion In the generator gradually increases. If the current does not increase, repair or replace the generator.
