3.3.4.1. Principle of operation of the mechanism of switching of an automatic transmissionIt is possible to translate the lever of the selector from situation P only under following conditions:
– the pedal of a brake is pressed;
– the button of the lever of the selector is pressed.

When the pedal of a brake is not pressed, the pin ползуна is in the situation shown in drawing 3.77, set by a brake pedal. Thus the block ползуна is blocked by a cam. In this situation the cable of blocking and the cam of blocking directing a pin on the lever of gear shifting also is blocked does not move from occupied situation. And, the lever of the selector cannot be transferred to one situation except River. When the pedal of a brake is pressed, the pin ползуна freely moves in V.Blok's direction ползуна also can freely move. The cable of blocking and a cam of blocking are not blocked, thus there is possible a lever transfer from situation P.
