2.5.2.4. Management of an air line with variable characteristics (VAD)

The control system of VAD opens VAD zaslonka in the air filter only on high frequencies of rotation of the engine so that engine capacity did not decrease at high frequency of rotation because of an insufficient mass consumption of air. The PCM block turns on the electromagnetic valve of management of VAD system for zaslonka opening if the following conditions are met:
– the temperature of cooling liquid – is higher than 70 °C;
– frequency of rotation of the engine – is higher than 5800 mines-1;
– a corner of opening of a butterfly valve – more than 50 %.
