2.1.6.1. General information

The final collector settles down behind the engine.

This arrangement allows to use shorter exhaust pipes and to increase efficiency of release. Besides, thanks to the reduced distance to catalytic converter, the temperature of the fulfilled gases falls slightly therefore the catalyst works more effectively. Cooling of the fulfilled gases also is prevented by application of two-layer pipes of a final collector (fig. 2.64).
