1.3.6. Protivozanosny system (DSC)

The Protivozanosny system (CCD) automatically operates braking of wheels and regulates a torque developed by the engine, together with anti-blocking and protivobuksovochny systems for the purpose of prevention of lateral sliding and car drift at movement on a slippery paving or at sharp and vigorous maneuvering. The Protivozanosny system increases safety of the car.
The Protivozanosny system can function at speed of the car above 20 km/h.

ATTENTION
The Protivozanosny system can incorrectly function, if are not observed given below a condition.
– On all wheels of the car identical tires of the recommended dimension should be established.
– On all wheels tires of one brand, model, dimension and with identical drawing of the protector, made at one plant should be established.
– It is forbidden to establish on the tire car with various degree of wear of a protector.
The Protivozanosny system can incorrectly work, if on wheels chains of antisliding are established or one of wheels is replaced with a low-dimensional spare wheel. A cause of infringement of normal functioning of protivozanosny system is distinction of radiuses of a kacheniye of wheels.

After turn of the switch of ignition in the situation "ON" (ignition is included) because of the dashboard the clicking sound can be distributed. This sound accompanies self-diagnostics of protivozanosny system and does not testify to any malfunction.

Indicator operation/signalling device of malfunction of protivobuksovochny and protivozanosny systems.
The indicator lights up for some seconds after turn of the switch of ignition in the situation "ON" (ignition is included). The signaling device blinks at operation of protivobuksovochny system (PBS) or protivozanosny system (CCD).
If the signaling device continues to burn, it can testify to violation of normal functioning of PBS systems and a CCD. Thus systems can incorrectly work. Address on service station of the official dealer of Mazda for car check.

Indicator of shutdown of protivozanosny system.
The indicator lights up for some seconds after turn of the switch of ignition in the situation "ON" (ignition is included). The indicator also lights up by pressing the DSC OFF switch and warns the driver that the PBS protivobuksovochny system and the CCD protivozanosny system are disconnected.

DSC OFF switch (fig. 1.160).

Fig. 1.160. Location of the DSC OFF switch

To disconnect protivobuksovochny and protivozanosny systems, press and hold the DSC OFF switch, the DSC OFF indicator will not light up yet.
Again to include PBS/CCD systems, press the switch once again. Thus the DSC OFF indicator will go out.
If the CCD system is not disconnected, in attempts to deduce got stuck car or to leave svezhevypavshy snow the PBS protivobuksovochny system (which is a CCD protivozanosny system component) will work. By pressing an accelerator pedal the torque developed by the engine, will not increase, and the car conclusion from jamming will be complicated.
In similar cases it is necessary to disconnect PBS/CCD systems.
If systems of a PBS/CCD are disconnected at the idle engine, at ignition inclusion these systems will join automatically. Protivobuksovochny and protivozanosny systems should be in the included condition, as a rule. It will provide the best stability of movement of the car.
