6.2.12.2. Removal of brake shoes

ATTENTION
At replacement of brake shoes always change internal and external laying and covers of laying in a set.

Merge brake liquid.
Remove a forward wheel and temporarily fix a rim two nuts.
Unscrew a bolt and disconnect an arm of a brake hose.

Holding directing fingers, turn off bolts of fastening of a support (fig. 6.40).

Turn off fixing bolts of the case of a support and remove a support (fig. 6.41).

Holding a support in a vice with soft sponges, by means of a screw-driver and a hammer remove boots of directing fingers (fig. 6.42).

Using a screw-driver, remove a spring ring of a cover of the brake cylinder and a cover (fig. 6.43).
Place rags between the piston and the cylinder.

Using the compressed air, remove the piston from the cylinder (fig. 6.44).

Using a screw-driver, remove an epiploon (fig. 6.45).

Measure thickness of overlays of brake shoes by a ruler (fig. 6.46).
Standard thickness: 12 mm.
Minimum thickness: 1,0 mm.
If the minimum thickness of a block does not correspond specified, replace blocks.
Completely drown the piston in the cylinder, using the special adaptation.
Establish a block of a brake disk.
