Execute check of a surface of a head of the block of cylinders by a method of color contrast. Using getting dye, check existence of cracks in chambers of combustion, inlet and final channels and on a surface of a gas joint (fig. 2.136).
In the presence of cracks, replace a head of the block of cylinders or make it (with the subsequent polishing).
Check depth of saddles of valves, radial and axial gaps of bearings of a cam-shaft (see further).

Measure a head of the block of cylinders in six directions for buckling identification (fig. 2.137).
If deformation exceeds a maximum, replace a head of the block of cylinders.
Maximum buckling: 0,10 mm.
Maximum polishing: 0,15 mm.
