Each cylinder has two inlet and two final channels. 16 valves are directly put in action by two cam-shafts. On engines of the L3 model the mechanism of change of phases of a gazoraspredeleniye which provides the best moment of opening or closing of valves is used, depending on traffic conditions constantly changing phases of a cam-shaft of inlet channels (fig. 2.20).
